Perkasa president Ibrahim Ali has taken a swipe at PAS leaders for not being present at the Federal Court this morning for the verdict on the "Allah" issue.
He claimed that PAS leaders were absent because they were afraid of losing votes.
Although the PAS Syura Council disagreed with non-Muslims using the term, he said the party's leaders had made contradictory statements.
"I hear that PAS people are already at the gates of heaven, and that is why they did not come here," he added on a sarcastic noted.
Ibrahim said that PAS leaders were not afraid of Allah but more fearful of losing votes.
The Perkasa leader, who had gathered at the Palace of Justice with some 200 supporters, welcomed the apex court’s decision to uphold the ban on non-Muslims using the term Allah.
Ibrahim also called on Muslims and non-Muslims to respect the court’s decision.
"We consider this case closed. Let's look towards the future.
"The ties between Muslims and non-Muslims must be harmonious as always," he said.
