Don't interfere in our affairs, PAS tells Pakatan
PAS today reminded its partners in Pakatan Rakyat not to interfere in the Islamic party's affairs amid the escalating crisis over the Selangor mentri besar post.

Several quarters have tried to interfere in the Islamic party's affairs recently, particularly in relation to the menteri besar issue, its vice-president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said.
"I would like to remind all parties in Pakatan Rakyat not to interfere in the affairs of other parties and not to overstep party lines.
"There are things that we agree on and there are things we don't agree on. That is the right of the respective parties and we have to respect that," Tuan Ibrahim ( left ) is quoted as saying in Harakahdaily today.
He did not specify exactly what in PAS was interfered with, but his remarks come amid statements from several PKR leaders criticising the party for omitting PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and her deputy Azmin Ali as candidates for the menteri besar 's post.
It was revealed yesterday that PAS had submitted its candidate list for menteri besar, comprising solely of its own party members , despite repeated insistence that it was not interested in snatching the position from PKR.
List was later amended
The list was later amended to include two PKR assemblypersons and another from PAS, but the list again omitted the names of Wan Azizah and Azmin's names.
"Why did PAS not abide by its central committee decision on Aug 17, which agreed on Wan Azizah and Azmin Ali?
"Where is the Pakatan Rakyat spirit?" PKR central leadership council member Hee Loy Sian ( left ) asked in a Facebook posting.
PKR Youth chief Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad in a statement late last night also demanded answers from PAS, stating that the Islamic party owed Selangorians an explanation.
However, Tuan Ibrahim reiterated that PAS had always respected its Pakatan partners when it came to any disagreement.
He used his own party's handling of the hudud issue as example, stating that it respected DAP' stance against the religious law, despite their differences.
"We in PAS respected their (DAP) stance and did not criticise them," he is quoted as saying.
The recent statements criticising PAS, the party organ quoted Tuan Ibrahim as saying, appeared to be like an attempt to "teach" PAS how to reach its decision on the menteri besar issue.
