Pro-Umno site accuses DAP of 'ethnic cleansing'

When the East India Company returned the ruling rights to the British, more Chinese came and the “Malays were chased away and had to settle in the back (portion) of the island”.
“The main portion of the island which faced the mainland was fully controlled by the ‘kaum pendatang’ (immigrants) who were the proxies of the British,” read the article titled 'Tak ramai sedar, DAP memang menjadikan Pulau Pinang sifar Melayu' (Not many are aware, DAP wants to make Penang Island zero Malays).
According to MyKMU, history is now repeating itself with Penang having fallen into the hands of DAP, which the pro-Umno website accused of indulging in “ethnic cleansing”.
“DAP has initiated the process of driving away the Malays since they took control of the state in GE-12 (2008). The ‘Malaysian Malaysia’ concept which sparked off the May 13 tragedy in 1969 is now used more effectively in Penang.
“Playing the role of a ‘saviour’, DAP and (party secretary-general) Lim Guan Eng started to initiate operations to chase away the Malays as GE-13 drew closer.
“With various excuses and support of Chinese voters, DAP concluded that in order to fully control Penang, they must drive away the Malays in the name of development,” it added.
At the same time, the article noted that Chinese villages, which were once squatters, had been upgraded to heritage sites.
MyKMU claimed that after retaining the state in the 2013 general election with an overwhelming increase in support, DAP embarked on a quest to drastically eradicate signs of Malay and Bumiputera history on the island.
“Umno, BN and PAS cannot do anything to stop this. DAP has set a trap. The land owners suddenly appear and chase away the villagers such in the case of Kampung Siam.
“One by one, Malay and bumiputera villages are eradicated and all sorts of methods are used to legitimise this action, including through the appearance of ‘land owners’ as if these villages are squatter settlements which are inhabited illegally,” read the article.
MyKMU also alleged that Malays are being “prevented from entering and settling” on the island.
Worse still, it added, local Chinese are also being driven out so that DAP could create places all over the island for their supporters “who can’t speak Bahasa Malaysia or sing Negaraku.”
"What can be said about these operations to destroy Malay and bumiputera villages if not ethnic cleansing.
"The difference is, they are being driven out alive. But the fact is that one race is being ‘cleansed’ from an area to allow another race to take control."
