PAS has decided to take legal action against BN secretary general Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor for allegations made against the party recently, its legal bureau chief Hanipa Maidin confirmed today.

 

A letter of demand will be sent to Tengku Adnan this week or next, Hanipa said, requesting he apologise for alleged remarks branding PAS as espousing deviant teachings.

 

"We will give maybe 48 hours for him to retract and apologise. I had looked at the speech in detail and he has definitely hurled accusations against us," Hanipa ( left ) said.

 

Tengku Adnan reportedly made the remarks during his speech at a Umno event recently.

 

PAS information chief Mahfuz Omar had previously said that PAS is mulling legal action against Tengku Adnan for the remarks that the latter made.

He said that the party's legal bureau will make a decision on the matter.
