People's Progressive Party (PPP) president M Kayveas today backed Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's about turn on the Sedition Act, without as much as offering a reason beyond backing his BN chief.
"There are only two rules in the game - the boss is always right. If the boss is wrong, refer back to rule number 1 (the boss is always right)," he told the PPP convention at the Putra World Trade Centre today.
He labelled the decision as something that can help maintain "peace and unity" and called it the "way forward".
"PPP will not be like some half hearted, cautious soothsayers. Instead PPP will give you full support," Kayveas said in the presence of Najib.
"Our laws have strong foundations from the British and have withstood the changing times. The problem is often not the law but the fairness in interpreting it," he added.
He said that Malaysians should be the most "peaceful" people in the world as the country is relatively safe from natural disasters.
He also said that PPP's mission for better Malaysians would be to "stop complaining, stop giving excuses, and stop blaming others."
