'1MDB, Rosmah will torpedo BN in GE14'
The blazing controversies surrounding 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) and the lifestyle of the prime minister's wife Rosmah Mansor will cost BN votes in the next general election.

The blazing controversies surrounding 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) and the lifestyle of the prime minister's wife Rosmah Mansor ( below ) will cost BN votes in the next general election.
Umno-linked blogger Shahbudin Husin said this was the topic of discussion with the former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad during a meeting with him yesterday. It is unclear if anybody else accompanied Shahbudin.
In his blog posting today, Shahbudin related some of matters brought up during his almost hour-long meeting with Mahathir ( left ) at the latter's office, describing the tête-à-tête as ‘frank and candid’.
"Mahathir looked at the 1MDB issue which is still ongoing and matters concerning Rosmah Mansor which will continue to be an aspect that will cause the rakyat to reject BN and the government in the next general election.
“It has reached a level that is unacceptable to the public," he said.
'Won't support PM'
Shahbudin wrote that Mahathir continued to express his disapproval of Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak and had maintained that he will no longer support the premier.
"He (Mahathir) does not only see Najib as a weak leader but one that is more likely to lead BN to defeat in the next general election.
“He also also criticised many of the prime minister's actions in using government funds for party use which is wrong and unacceptable," he said.
Shahbudin added among other personalities he discussed with Mahathir included Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin ( right ) as well as Umno vice-presidents Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Hishammuddin Hussein.
He did not reveal specifics, stating that it may be done at a more appropriate time.
Shahbudin's blog entry came shortly after Mahathir's own scathing blog posting where he questioned Najib's wealth and 1MDB .
