Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak has expressed his gratitude to sceptics of Wall Street Journal's ( WSJ ) claim that he had embezzled money.
In doing so, Najib specifically mentioned PAS spiritual leader Haron Din.

"I have become a victim of their relentless attacks of late, that I had embezzled a large sum of money into my personal account. I thank the many of those who have said that they don't believe in the news, including Haron Din.
"He said it doesn't make sense that I would do such a thing; that even if I had wanted to rob the money, I wouldn't have put the money in Malaysia,” he said.
He said this in a speech to some 400 people at a breaking-of-fast event at Masjid Bandar Rinching, Semenyih today.
During his speech, he also told the audience that he had just held a press conference informing that he is weighing his legal options against WSJ.
This elicited lukewarm response from the crowd.
Haron's skepticism
Yesterday, Haron told reporters that that WSJ's allegations against Najib ought to be proven before any judgment is made against him because some damaging news reports have been proven wrong in the past.
He expressed hope that the allegations were not true because it would damage Malaysia's reputation. But if WSJ was right, he said it would be "terrible" for Malaysia.
However, Haron did express a bit of scepticism.
"Simple logic says (that) usually, if someone wants to transfer money from a public fund to their personal accounts, they won't do it like this.
"They will transfer it to a different account or a secret account," he said, while remaining neutral on whether the allegations were true.
