Perkasa Youth chief Irwan Fahmi Idris ( below ) was at Dang Wangi police station to lodge his report against the leading US financial daily for allegedly slandering the PM.
"This is not just a question of Najib, but of the integrity of the entire nation.
"I know the international media have picked up on the news and we want to establish the veracity of the matter, whether it is true or slander," he told reporters.
Incidentally PKR Youth was also present to lodge their police report against the PM over the WSJ expose.
Youth chief Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad told reporters it would be good for Najib to go on leave while investigations are in progress.
Their reports follow a flurry of similar reports that have been lodged on both sides of the political divide since the sensational article last Friday.
Nik Nazmi also echoed the call for Najib to take legal action against WSJ if the premier really had nothing to hide.
He also called for the public to lodge similar reports so that the matter will be investigated thoroughly by the police and authorities.
"Sue WSJ. If you lose, then resign because not only the opposition is talking now. There are voices even in his (Najib) own party," he said.
