The Home Ministry and the prosecutor are appealing the ruling of the High Court in Kuala Lumpur that the charges against former Batu Kawan Umno division vice-chief Khairuddin Abu Hassan and his lawyer Matthias Chang do not fall under the Security Offences (Special Measures) 2012 Act (Sosma).
