Tourism Productivity Nexus (TPN), supported by Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) organises TPN Virtual Summit (TPNVitS), the first tourism virtual summit in Malaysia, featuring talks, interviews and forum by key players in the tourism industry to more than 1000 attendees online.

The summit’s highlight is the live forum where YB Dato’ Sri Hajah Nancy Shukri, Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture and YBhg. Dato’ Abdul Latif Haji Abu Seman, Director- General, Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) share the platform to speak directly to the industry players on the challenges and way forward for the tourism industry amidst and beyond Covid-19 disruption. The live forum is moderated by YBrs. Encik Uzaidi Udanis, Champion, Tourism Productivity Nexus (TPN).

TPNVitS is an initiative by TPN during the Movement Control Order (MCO) to stay close with the industry players during this difficult situation. The summit supports TPN’s other initiative i.e. TPN Knowledge Enhancement Webinar Series (KEWS) which has delivered 14 webinars so far. Both TPNVitS and KEWS are the knowledge and information sharing platform on various topics related to the tourism industry such as marketing and promotion, business reset, branding & advertising and loans/grants/funds among others.

YBrs. Encik Uzaidi Udanis, TPN Champion emphasises that “This is a crucial time for the industry. Covid-19 has taught us lessons more than the industry players can handle. TPN as the linkage between the industry and government cannot sit still and not doing anything. We do what we can, what we should do, during this crisis. Beyond all this, the tourism industry will survive, rise from the ashes and soar again. Now is the time to strategise our comeback and we will come back even stronger”.
