The winners of The BrandLaureate Awards – The World’s First e-Branding Awards 2020 were announced LIVE on The BrandLaureate Awards Facebook Page on 3rd August 2020. Organised by The World Brands Foundation (TWBF), the world’s only brands and branding foundation, The BrandLaureate Awards – The World’s First e-Branding Awards 2020 celebrates brands that have not only stood strong, but have also reflected their agility and resilience in today’s unprecedented economy. These extraordinary brands have elevated their brands in both good and challenging times, and we express our congratulations to these brands.

With the theme, “TO BE SEEN, TO BE HEARD, TO BE KNOWN and TO BE REMEMBERED!”, it is critical that every brand owner be in competitive spirit to drive their brands to be fully seen, thoroughly heard, essentially known and be best remembered in the mind of consumers. Without a doubt the present and future is in BRANDS and BRANDING and brands that puts innovation, inspiration and integrity at the forefront and drives the economy and impacts consumer consciousness on a subliminal level while igniting the deep desire of the masses to aspire is very well a brand who thrive and not just survive.

In this blazing spirit, The BrandLaureate Awards – The World’s First e-Branding Awards 2020 raises brands to the next noteworthy level of brand awareness. Such brands champions are way ahead of the curve and celebrate their innovative spirit in creating trendsetting breakthroughs which cannot help but inspire the world.

In his welcoming speech Dr. KKJohan, World President of The BrandLaureate says that branding should be your Loveline, your Lifeline, your Frontline, your Bloodline and last but not least Branding Online is what brands can do to start and adjust to the "new normal". He is affirmative that these 5 lines of branding will strongly help brands to move forward and ahead of the competition especially during these challenging times.

Dr. KKJohan encouraged brands by stating: “People say opportunity knocks but once but I believe it is up to us to open our eyes and mind to see the opportunities we have during these difficult moments. It is easy to give up but we never give in to Give Up! NEVER GIVE UP! Branding is a 24/7 task and never takes a back seat, be it in good or bad times. Branding is the only way forward for brand survival and brand success.”

The President also humbles himself to express his highest tribute and salute to thousands of unnamed frontliners for their immense sacrifices, invaluable dedication, commitment and unwavering efforts in managing COVID-19 risking their own lives, for the benefit of the nation. He further reiterate that their spirit of resilience and their never give up attitude is something brands and people should emulate. YBhg Datuk Dr. Noor Hisham Bin Abdullah, Director General of Health, Ministry of Health Malaysia was also commended for his pivotal role in the Health Ministry in flattening the curve of Covid-19 in the country.

As the highlight of the celebration, YBhg Datuk Dr. Noor Hisham Bin Abdullah was also presented with The BrandLaureate Most Outstanding BrandLeadership Award 2020 for his exceptional leadership and role in administrating the Covid-19 pandemic in Malaysia. The award presentation was then followed by "The BrandLaureate Awards - The World's First e-Branding Awards 2020 to Ministry of Health (MOH) in Excellent Healthcare Service Provider. Unity is strength and the first two awards to Noor Hisham and MOH stand as worthy recognition for him and the frontliners for their commitment and sacrifice to save lives and bring healing to the nation. Indeed, they are well deserving of The BrandLaureate Awards which symbolise their Brand success, Brand leadership, and Brand legacy.

A special recognition was also given to YBhg Prof. Dato' Sri Dr. Mike Chan, Chairman/Senior Researcher of European Wellness Group, Germany for His Most Outstanding BrandLeadership Contributions for Pioneering Stemcell Research and Biological Regenerative Medicine. Committed to the cause in Europe since 1980’s, Prof. Dr Mike Chan has been pivotal in spearheading the renowned Swiss and German company for its expertise in providing Swiss cellular therapy products in the field of anti-aging, regenerative, nutritional and biological medicine at its height.

During the night, over 25 companies and individuals received The BrandLaureate Awards – The World’s First e-Branding Awards 2020.

Prominent names receiving The BrandLaureate BrandLeadership e-Branding Awards 2020 include Mr Danny Leong of GHL Systems Bhd, YBhg Dato’ Sri Delon Lee of Carzo Sdn Bhd, Mr Cllement Tan of RAMS Solutions Sdn Bhd, Tuan Hj Mohd Asri Ahmad Founder of Asri Ahmad Academy and YBhg Dato’ Seri J Low, Chief Marketing Officer of BIS Broker Investment.

As for The BrandLaureate BestBrands e-Branding Awards 2020 for Brand of the Year category, recipients include Great Eastern, Limkokwing, White Horse, and lastly Chow Tai Fook as Brand of the Year Most Prominent in Lifestyle - Premium Jewellery. The award presentation was then followed by Lam Soon for Brand of the Year Brand Supremacy in FMCG. For Most Valuable brands GHL, Great Eastern Takaful, Lonpac, and Yokohama are among the winning names for the category.

Other categories of awards include Most Iconic Brand for Knife, Best Choice for IK Yellow and Naturel, then followed by Brand Influencer for Antabax and Sothys. The BrandLaureate BestBrands e-Branding Awards 2020 were awarded to European Wellness Group, Germany, MF3 of Switzerland by Nexgen Biopharma, Switzerland, FCTI Precursor Stemcells Research, Germany. There were recognised for their strong commitment to branding and realising its vision through innovative and differentiated strategies and initiatives.

Not to be forgotten, YBhg Professor Dato’ Wah Idris was also awarded The BrandLaureate World’s Music Icon BrandLeadership Award as he made a name for himself through his astounding success and contribution of music works in the country. Promoting Brand Malaysia through his songs, such as the popular Standing In The Eyes Of The World which was specially rendered to commemorate the United States’s (US) Independence Day.

Another Malaysian rising star, Ms Jeryl Lee Pei Ling was also awarded The BrandLaureate Country Branding Award 2020 after her song, Respect 1,000,000 has garnered great reviews and respect for the frontliners that are braving the scenes during this Covid-19 pandemic. The World Brands Foundation is most proud of her success and delighted to present her with The BrandLaureate Award that recognizes outstanding artiste who has contributed significantly to their communities and countries through their areas of specialization.

The night ended with the last set of Award presentation, TheBrandLaureate SMEs BestBrands e-Branding Awards 2020 for Carzo, Steam & Sanitize and Yippi.
