Come 31st August, one lucky Malaysian will take home RM31,000 from the MAA Medicare Cardiac Diagnostic Centre’s Merdeka Bonanza Contest!

Dr. Haji Azriman Rosman, Chief Executive Officer of MAA Medicare Cardiac Diagnostic Centre said the Merdeka Bonanza Contest held for the first time by the organisation, was to create awareness on cardiovascular diseases and was part of the Merdeka celebrations.

“Malaysians need to be cognisant of the fact that the main risk factors for cardiovascular diseases are smoking, obesity, high cholesterol, diabetes, high blood pressure and lack of physical activity.

“Therefore, early screenings are crucial, as prevention is always better than cure. Screenings help to identify if a patient is at risk of, or has a disease or condition, that was not previously known about. Health screening is advantageous to those who may have a family history of cardiovascular diseases. It helps with prevention and enables timely treatments to prevent complications,’’ he said.

Since 2018, the MAA Medicare Cardiac Diagnostic Centre has been providing underprivileged Malaysians with affordable, and highly-subsidised and quality heart screenings, eliminating a long waitlist at hospitals. Additionally, the health and heart packages are affordable and performed in a high-grade hospital setting, utilising state-of-the-art cardiac and vascular technologies.

Among the investigations that are available include treadmill stress tests, ECG, Echocardiograms, CT Calcium Score, CT Lung, X-Rays, CT Angiogram and Angioplasty. The Merdeka Bonanza Contest runs until August 31, 2020. Register and complete a slogan on “I Love My Heart Because” at https://www.maamedicarecardiaccentre.org/.
