Over 5,000 students in the B40 category will now be able to do better in their upcoming UPSR, PT3 & SPM exams this year. The students will receive complimentary 12 months access to the Osem revision app, normally priced at RM 399.
The education assistance is a joint effort between Member of Parliament for Sungai Buloh Sivarasa Rasiah and Think Osem Sdn. Bhd. The program was launched on Thursday, February 11 by MP Sivarasa and Think Osem CEO Dato’ Abdul Radzeen, with PIBG representatives of SRA Kg Melayu Subang and SJK(T) RRI, participating as beneficiaries.
YB Sivarasa said that the closure of schools has been a challenge for school students, especially for students in the B40 category who are unable to afford supplementary learning tools. To date 1,422 students have received the complimentary access to Osem, while 24 schools have registered their students for the complimentary package. The social responsibility initiative by Think Osem is valued at RM1,900,000.
CEO Dato’ Radzeen shared the application enables students to conduct their revisions as well as gain access to notes and exercises directly from certified teachers.
He also believes the gamification aspect, particularly the Gold rewards students will receive upon completing exercises in the Osem application will keep them engaged and motivated to study.
Dato’ Radzeen said hopes this sponsorship would help students to achieve great results in their UPSR, PT3 and SPM examinations and be successful in the future.
Osem is the leading revision application in Malaysia, which incorporates gamification functions to help students to understand lesson notes faster and remember key concepts quicker, with more than 17,000 teachers contributing to the application and 300,000 students using the application. The application has received a 4 star rating on the Google Play Store.
Osem is accessible nationwide with subjects such as Bahasa Malaysia, English, Biology and more and is available through the Apple App Store, Google Play Store and Huawei AppGallery.
