Over 100 MIXUE Malaysia outlets have officially received halal certification from the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM). For MIXUE fans nationwide, this certification brings an extra layer of confidence, knowing that every cup and cone meets trusted safety and Halal standards.

At the official certificate presentation ceremony, JAKIM symbolically handed over the halal certification to MIXUE Malaysia’s management, recognising the brand’s compliance with all requirements set forth under the national halal certification framework.

Strengthening trust through halal excellence

MIXUE Malaysia’s General Manager, Wang Wei Long, extended his heartfelt appreciation to the institutions and partners who have consistently supported MIXUE’s Halal journey, including JAKIM, the Malaysian Islamic Propagation Foundation (YADIM), media partners, franchisees, and distinguished guests.

“From raw material procurement to outlet operational procedures, we comply with all JAKIM requirements and have developed a comprehensive MIXUE Halal Assurance System. Every outlet is required to follow this procedure to ensure consistent quality, transparent management, and legal compliance throughout the country,” he stated.

The current halal certified MIXUE outlets are located around Melaka, Johor, Kedah, Perlis, Penang, Negeri Sembilan, Kelantan, Perak, Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.

“MIXUE will also continue to expand the number of halal certified outlets in future. We are committed to providing high-quality, safe, and trusted products through a well-managed system and high standards,” Wang concluded.

MIXUE Malaysia was given the opportunity to participate in the SAMA – International Sahih Muslim Hadith Event 2025, becoming part of this meaningful programme. During this year’s edition, more than 3000 cups of beverages and 2000 servings of ice cream were distributed to participants, followed by an additional 10,000 free vouchers during the closing ceremony.

Upholding transparency and inclusivity

“Our society is made up of people of various races and religions. With this halal certification, Muslim and non-Muslim customers can enjoy MIXUE’s products without worry. The halal certification process has been carried out thoroughly and covers all the ingredients used,” Ustaz Muhyiddin Haji Aziz @ Haji Saari, JAKIM Halal Management Division director.

MIXUE’s Halal Project Lead, Guo Xuying, also expressed gratitude to government agencies for their professional guidance throughout the certification process, which has strengthened MIXUE’s Halal Assurance System.

She highlighted that halal certification is not merely a promotional milestone but the beginning of MIXUE’s continuing commitment to social responsibility and long-term brand enhancement.

“With this certification, MIXUE will continue to uphold its mission to strengthen the brand, enrich its partners, and bring high-quality and affordable products to customers around the world,” she said.

MIXUE Extends Support to Flood-Hit Communities
Earlier this year, on 29–30 November, MIXUE Malaysia also reached out to communities in Perlis and Perak affected by severe flooding. The team visited several relief centres, offering care and encouragement to families, senior citizens, and children impacted by the continuous heavy rainfall, making sure they knew they weren’t facing this challenging time alone.

Founded in 1997, MIXUE is an international chain specialising in ice cream and freshly made tea drinks. The brand has over 50,000 stores worldwide.

MIXUE officially entered the local market in 2022. Its number of outlets in Malaysia surpassed 700 in 2025, making it the largest and most widely distributed freshly made tea and ice cream chain brand in Southeast Asia.

To celebrate their outlet’s halal certification, MIXUE Malaysia will be giving away 60,000 free Brulee Cups as part of its Mini Program from Dec 12-13. More information can be found here.
