US Pizza, the 100% Malaysian-owned pizza brand, today officially entered the Malaysia Book of Records as the "Most Halal Certified Local Pizza Outlets" in the country. The celebration took place at DPULZE Shopping Centre, Cyberjaya, with a crowd of media, KOLs, business partners, suppliers, vendors, and loyal fans.

The event saw Khairy Jamaluddin – radio host, DJ, entrepreneur, and former Minister – step into the role of Guest Store Manager for the Day. Khairy traded his microphone for an apron, taking charge of the store alongside Deric Yeo, CEO of US Pizza. Together, they made pizzas side by side, engaging with fans and KOLs in friendly games throughout the afternoon.

"I've always believed in supporting homegrown brands," said Khairy. "US Pizza is truly Malaysian. Today was about rolling up my sleeves and having fun with fans – and the pizza was delicious."

"A Malaysian Brand, Not American" – CEO Clarifies Misconception

Speaking at the event, Deric Yeo, CEO of US Pizza, clarified a long-standing misconception about the brand.

"Many people still think US Pizza is from America. We are not. US Pizza is 100% Malaysian – born here, built here, and proud to be local. A local brand for local people," said Yeo.

Yeo also took the opportunity to thank the brand's suppliers and vendors, acknowledging them as the backbone of US Pizza's success.

"Without your quality ingredients and trust, we would not be here today," he added.

Games, Fans, and a Celebration of Local

The event was not just about records and speeches. Fans of both US Pizza and Khairy Jamaluddin took part in interactive games with KOLs, competing for prizes and freshly made pizza. The atmosphere was lively, with supporters cheering as Khairy and Deric Yeo tossed dough and served pizzas straight from the oven.

KOLs present at the event also joined in the fun, creating content and challenging fans in pizza-making and trivia games.

The Malaysia Book of Records recognition is based on US Pizza's commitment to 100% halal certification across all its outlets – a standard the brand says reflects its respect for all Malaysians.

"We don't do this because we have to. We do this because every Malaysian deserves to eat with peace of mind," said Yeo. "That is responsibility. That is respect. That is what homegrown brands should stand for."

A Milestone, Not a Finish Line

US Pizza says this is only the beginning. The brand plans to expand further while keeping its halal certification and local identity at the core.

"Thank you to Dato' Radzali, our directors, business partners, suppliers, vendors, media friends, KOLs, and most importantly, our fans. This is Malaysia's own. Local," Yeo concluded.
