COMMENT | Media reported that Negeri Sembilan Umno/BN chairperson Jalaluddin Alias defended the decision to withdraw support for Menteri Besar Aminuddin Harun.

The Pertang assemblyperson and Jelebu MP stated that the decision by the 14 Negeri Sembilan Umno/BN elected representatives was taken to defend party principles and prevent political interference in matters related to the state’s royal and customary institutions.

He also argued that Umno’s withdrawal of support in Negeri Sembilan wasn’t “tebuk atap” because the party was already in power. In other words, based on his logic, it’s not “tebuk atap” if you’re already in the house.
