The time is now ripe for Malaysian politics to be based on a national philosophy that is embraced by all Malaysians.

The present set up which is based on a ‘gangs’ of component parties championing different racial groups like the Barisan Nasional is basically no different from what our colonial master had done ie, ‘divide and rule’.

Such ganging up is certainly fragile and would not help in creating a nation with a unified people sharing a common destiny and vision.

And a coalition that is based on a conspiracy to topple the establishment without any clear agenda of their own let alone one for the nation such as Pakatan Rakyat is also hardly workable.

One should wonder as to how it managed to exist as a political entity in the first place. It is basically based on vengeance, greed and jealousy.

None of these are acceptable or relevant any more in the building of a Malaysia as a strong and united nation.

What needs to be done now is to articulate the ‘1Malaysia’ concept into a national philosophy that would form the pillar of the nation, the foundation on which our future would rest.

This coupled with what we already have such as the ‘Rukun Negara’ must be embraced by all Malaysians regardless of their racial origin, religion or creed.

This should be the basis on which Malaysians should exercise their voting rights when choosing who should rule this country herein after.
