I refer to the Malaysiakini report PKR: No internal conflict, Zaid still ours .

I can only say that the PKR leadership's handling of the Sabah issue is done with heavy-handedness.

Apparently, the central leadership including Anwar Ibrahim, are clueless. And there is Azmin Ali whose pride comes first before the interests of Sabah.

Anwar, of all people, should understand the sentiment of Sabahans who still remember and have not forgiven him for the 1994 coup d'etat that put the defeated Umno/BN in power and thus betraying the people's mandate who voted a local-based party in a general election.

Who wants to vote for a party who does trust not local leaders who understand Sabah sentiment, cultures, tradition, politics and its people better? Who wants to vote for a party who punishes its own leaders when confronted with the truth?

The alleged move by Anwar and its central leadership to try and bar Zaid Ibrahim from attending a Hari Raya gathering in Kota Kinabalu was most damaging.

If it happened in West Malaysia, I bet you wouldn't dare 'boycott' such a function for fear of erosion in support from the Malay community.

No, Anwar, you are not punishing your 'errant' Sabah divisional heads. You are sending a wrong signal to Sabahans of your heavy-handedness on the rakyat who dare object your decisions.

You are not even in the seat of power yet, but you have given the rakyat in Sabah a taste of what to expect from you if we so much as desire our own local leaders to lead or run our state.

If you, Anwar, Azmin and PKR leadership have no respect for Sabahans, why should we vote for you?
