DAP Sabah would like to apologise to all our supporters, sympathisers, friends and the people of Tawau in particular and Sabah in general, for the departure of our comrade James Leong Yun Fui for greener pastures in Gerakan BN yesterday.

His application was received by Chief Minister Musa Aman in the presence of Gerakan Vice President Tan Sri Liew Yun Fah.

The DAP Sabah Chairman said that his special assistant has done a wonderful job in creating awareness amongst the people especially in Tawau concerning the poor administration and discriminative nature of Umno and BN government in Sabah.

Together we have raised many issues of importance in Tawau such the open space and with our concerted effort the people through the court, will benefit from the open space.

By Leong saying that the DAP leadership is only good at talking and incapable of delivering on their promises is inaccurate and in fact demeaning himself.

DAP Sabah Secretary, Dr Edwin Bosi said James failed to live up to the person we expect in DAP. He is worlds apart when compared with the late Teoh Beng Hock who was also a special assistant to YB Ean Yong Hian Wah, the ADUN for Sri Kembangan.

The late Teoh will always be remembered for his royalty to his leaders, the party and to himself, his family, his friends and supporters. His untimely death is not at all in vain because he (Teoh) has placed a benchmark of what a party member and also as special assistant to the legislators is all about.

With the latest trend and the personal involvement of Musa Aman in enticing opposition leaders into BN, there is reason to believe that the 13th general election is around the corner.

DAP Sabah feels that the loss of leaders such as James Leong is a blessing in disguise. We do not want to see this type of leaders jumping ship during the election and when the party is in power.

I would like to remind people like James that your usefulness to Umno and BN has ended after your picture appeared in the newspaper today. You will soon find yourself a hermit in society and the very people who enticed you will be the first to spite and reject you.

DAP Sabah admits that we cannot provide all the best for James or even promise him to be a candidate in the coming election but thanks him for his past contributions and also for the "tips" of what is happening inside the BN in Sabah.

We know about his close proximity with Tan Sri Liew and is expecting something from him (Leong).

We were fed with lots of information of what is happening in Umno And BN and especially between Gerakan and LDP. Last week I was informed by Leong that Gerakan is all out to ensure that the party will contest in Tawau (MP) and Sri Tanjung (DUN).

He talked about Musa Aman's unhappiness with LDP with LDP's vote of no confidence against him and he is in no mood to stay quiet about it.

Musa Aman's personal presence in Tawau with ex-LDP Liew Yun Fah is to give his undivided support to Liew Yun Fah, and to spite LDP especially VK Liew and Tan Sri Chong Kah Kiat.

As far as Tan Sri Liew Yun Fah is concerned this is payback time for LDP President VK Liew who dumped him during the 2008 election.

Everything is not well in BN. Datuk Musa knows that the other component parties such as PBS, Upko, PBRS and LDP are not happy because the parties and supporters have been sidelined and marginalised in the public service, business, contracts, projects and political positions.

I am sure these component parties are unhappy when they see how only one race is dominating a government agency such as Ko-Nelayan. I am very sure there are many other statutory bodies that are in the same situation.

One of the good indicators is the Chinese New Year greeting billboard in Dongonggon Penampang from Upko's Tan Sri Bernard Dompok and Datuk Donald Mojuntin that does not carry the party nor BN logo.

Is LDP going to be quiet by letting Gerakan takes Tawau, Likas, Sepanggar, Elopura and Karamunting in the coming election?

I agree with Lim Kit Siang's in his tweets who asked what sincerity/loyalty Sabah Gerakan when it has no compunction (or guilt) to embarrass/humiliate Musa Aman with such a tall tale about the 10 DAP Tawau "phantom leaders".

Lim also took pity on Musa for been made to look like a fool by Sabah Gerakan who he said is so desperate to win Tawau even to publicly humiliate Musa with such phantom leaders.

YB Jimmy Wong confirmed that beside James Leong the other so-called nine leaders are not even party members. Look at the photo, do you think that DAP leaders look like this?
