Hypocrisy is at its highest level during an election campaign.

The latest show of hypocrisy came from the Umno Youth chief Hishamuddin Hussein Onn who accused PAS youth of crude and un-Islamic behaviour.

It is still fresh in my mind how the Umno youth behaved in the last by-election campaign held in Indera Kayangan, Perlis.

They were not only rude and crude but also very aggressive. They called out offensive names and Hishamuddin himself was shouting " Liwat! Liwat! " (sodomy) as he passed through a crowd of supporters.

There were also plenty of shoving and pushing from the Umno side and it was indeed admirable to see the restraint shown by Barisan Alternatif and reformasi supporters facing such provocations during that time.

Even the FRU members could not control the bullying by Umno youth as they were a large group and seemed to have come from influential divisions of Umno in the Klang Valley.

So let's not fool anyone here: Everyone knows that Umno youth can be thuggish bullies with no respect for the law nor do they have any idea of the concept of justice.
