Three judges of high office continue

to sit quite comfortably on a bail

It has been four long months and

yet the verdict they choose to snail.

With each passing day, justice is

denied to the man crippled and frail

But whose spirit is unbroken by

many an unjust trial and travail.

Simple is the decision, when one

looks at the glaring details

The guts of only a magistrate is all

that it entails.

An early decision was the presiding

judge's promising tale

Countless reminders to the Court

but sadly to no avail.

Alas, pity not so much the prisoner

who suffers in jail

Pity rather subservient judges who

in courage tragically fail.

Pity still when judges

shudder and quail

Pity most of all this country when

injustice and compromise prevails.
