In this upcoming cabinet reshuffle, all the components parties in Barisan Nasional are lobbying hard to be ministers and deputy ministers.

I want to express my thoughts here about MCA and Gerakan who are both in the news after the recent Teluk Intan win. Both parties had lost badly in the 13th general election (GE13).

In MCA, it is likely that their president, Liow Tiong Lai, and deputy president, Wee Ka Siong, would be ministers. As for Gerakan, their president Mah Siew Keong had also been promised a minister’s post after his win in Teluk Intan. There’s no issue of them being made minister as they have been elected by the people as MPs.

The question now is who else going to be ministers and deputy ministers from MCA and Gerakan?

For both parties, I hope that Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak doesn’t appoint anyone who had lost in the last general election. They are already rejected by the people. Put someone who has either been elected as an MP or had not been rejected by the people. Ministers and deputy ministers should not be from those “recycled” leaders and losers.

The people want to see fresh leaders who can bring new hope for MCA and Gerakan.  

Prime Minister Najib must be able to make the right decision and not fill his cabinet or appoint deputy ministers from those who had been rejected by the people.

I’m writing this as a Barisan Nasional supporter, and someone who doesn’t want to see Barisan Nasional sink to another low.
