Five years not too long, folks
Ah Chong ( It's a sad, sad day for Malaysians ) seemed to be let-down by the Malays whom he feels have forgotten past mis-doings by the BN.
It is probably the same kind of frustration the Malays felt in 1999 when the united opposition did not get as much support from the non-Malays as it did from the Malays. Although the reformist- led movement of the opposition had a fair share of people from various races, when it came to the all-important election, the Chinese helped reduce the overwhelming number of opposition votes.
I do agree with Ah Chong however, that Keadilan's manifesto basically calls for the building of a Malaysia for all Malaysians. But its inclination towards PAS scares the Malays more than it does the non-Malays.
Anyway, Malaysians in general are taken in by Pak Lah's charisma and humble, people-friendly ways. Let us be gentlemanly about it and give our new PM the benefit of the doubt.
Five years is not that long a wait.
