Although BlueRider mentioned that her/his letter is not a threat, I consider it no less than an outright blackmail. I do not know whether BlueRider truly believes in what he wrote or is simply trying to provoke readers for feedback ('testing the water.')

Whatever it is, he is entitled to his opinion I would like to table my opinion because I feel that her/his letter makes many irresponsible statements, just like other letters with similar ultra-nationalist and extremist zeal.

First of all, she/he blatantly called for non-Malays to thank their Malay brothers for returning to the BN fold and therefore keeping the so-called Islamic fundamentalists at bay. If, one day, some narrow-minded non-Malay decides to reply to BlueRider, he could say that Malays should be thankful that non-Malay votes have played a major role in keeping the BN in power.

It is also a fact that in the Umno/BN fortress of Johor, about 90% of the parliamentary constituencies are Chinse majority ones which could easily swing the vote to the opposition. Malays are the ones benefiting the most from the BN administration and also stand to lose the most if the current opposition, who has pledged to abolish Malay privileges and special rights, comes to power. So, for the sake of argument, shouldn't the Malays be thankful to the non-Malays instead?

BlueRider accuses non-Malays of undermining Malay interests and playing with 'fire' and admits that he will not compromise even if it is for the sake unity. And she/he says all these without much regard for facts or explanation. Her/his statement is self-explanatory of the kind of mentality that rules this woman/man.

From her/his letter, BlueRider seems to assume that non-Malays would naturally object to PAS/opposition rule and therefore should grovel before their Malay counterparts to win their support for the BN.

She/he did not take into consideration the many east-coast Malay-acculturated Chinese who have willingly voted for PAS, or the numerous Chinese who are in Keadilan or simply the Chinese who have voted for the DAP and not for the BN.

I hope BlueRider and the likes of her/him will stop trying to intimidate their fellow Malaysians by playing up the tune of special rights. Not only will this stir up racial sentiments and suspicion among Malaysians at this time when most Malaysians are for meritocracy, self-improvement, and racial unity, it will also cause you BlueRider, and the likes of her/him to preserve their state of mental capacity impoverishment.

Please, move on, and join other fellow Malay Malaysians who have gone beyond the narrow scope of privileges and special rights and who have realised that there is much more to gain in this world of ours.

I implore the BlueRider breed to put an end to their destructive ways that will disrupt the emerging sincere brotherhood enjoyed by all Malaysians today, Malays and non-Malays alike.
