I agree with TA Loh that the special privileges are being abused . Those who oppose the privileges should go to the east coast states and see for themselves the conditions that people live.

This has nothing to do with privileges, but punishment being meted out to a people who decided that they do not prefer the BN sort of government. Where in the world does one hear of a highway being built depending on which state government is in power?

Now it seems that the highway is on again, but only up to the Kelantan border. What if halfway during construction, the Terengganu government again reverts back to PAS? Abandon the project again?

There is no university in Kelantan, and the menteri besar is not invited to meetings to discuss development and other matters. Melaka civil servants are not allowed to visit Kelantan and Kelantan officials are normally excluded from national trade missions.

During Anwar Ibrahim's time, Kelantan got their grants, but not before their coffers ran dry. This is to embarrass the state government and to make the people suffer. Every now and then some federal minister will announce how backward Kelantan is, with the sole intention of discouraging any potential investors.

It is childish, stupid and downright unfair, considering Kelantanese are also taxpayers, and many also voted for BN.

So before those non-Malays who stay in places like SS2, Damansara Heights, OUG etc, complain about their difficulties, I strongly advise them to make a trip to Kelantan and Terengganu and say, in all honesty, that the people there are better off than they are.
