It is indeed very sad to see that everything is twisted into racial lines nowadays. Even a good natured statement by Agriculture and Agro-based Industries Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob has been twisted and taken out of context to incite hatred!

But again, when has the opposition cared about these things?

What it is totally shocking is to see that MCA Youth chief Chong Sin Woon has joined the bandwagon, too, this time, and at a very crucial time when Chinese New Year is just around the corner.

The honourable minister’s statement is very clear. He is warning us about rogue traders who are taking opportunity of the Chinese New Year to increase all prices and citing nonsense reasons when we all know that petrol price is at one of its lowest in the history.

When the petrol price is high, these traders will say that their operation cost is increasing, but when the petrol price is down they will say that petrol is only a small part of their operation and it doesn’t make a difference and they cannot reduce their price.  What's this hypocrisy?

The honourable minister is only talking about the rogue traders!

And it is a fact that most suppliers are Chinese. It is not his fault that most traders are Chinese. To me this is not being racial.

Who benefits from the price control? It is all of us and especially the Chinese because of Chinese New Year which is just days away. They are going to spend the most now.

I can understand the opposition behaving like the they do, but what’s wrong with MCA Youth chief Chong? It is clear here that the minister is only using the majority consumer power to curb the price control which is totally out of control.

Is the MCA Youth chief more concerned about the people and their daily issues, or about getting publicity by using the race cards to be a community champion as what DAP is doing all this while.

What has DAP done to help curb prices? Well at least the BN minister is using all avenues.. and I’m sure he would need the support of BN component parties to hold it together as the ultimate benefactor are the people.

Please, this is not about race at all!

It’s about a concerned minister who is using all his means to help the people at large. When prices hike, BN is blamed. But when a BN minister tries to curb the prices, he is still blamed a labelled a racist, too.

Dear MCA Youth chief, please think for the benefit of the people at large, and to DAP, playing the race card does not help solve day-to-day problems here in our daily lives where it is a fact that things are expensive despite petrol price having gone down tremendously.
