London attacks do not reflect true teachings of Islam

The latest terrorist attacks in the city of London which saw seven people killed and dozens more injured should be condemned by all.

This is the third attack faced by the UK in the last three months after the March attacks on Westminster Bridge and at the Palace of Westminster and the recent May explosion which rocked the Ariana Grande concert in Manchester.

Many peoples have been killed, or injured from the earlier two terror attacks.

While the authorities are still conducting their investigation on the latest terror incident, there is no doubt that it is being carried by Islamist extremists as several eyewitnesess spoke of the perpetrator shouting “this is for Allah” as they stabbed the victims indiscriminately.

One report also suggested that the victims’ throats had been slashed by the marauders, likely to be Islamic State-inspired terrorists.

Again and again these terrorists are using the peaceful religion of Islam to carry out their brutalities and atrocities not only in the city of London but throughout cities all over the world.

The victims have also not only been limited to non-Muslims, but also include Muslims.

Many terror attacks have also been carried out in many Muslim-majority countries like Turkey, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Indonesia in recent years. People, whether Muslim or non-Muslim, should not be misled by all the acts carried out by these terrorists in the name of Islam.

These terrorists have a completely misguided understanding about the true teachings of religion.

Islam is indeed a peaceful religion which values and cherishes life, mutual respect, and tolerance not only towards fellow believers but also non-believers.

These terror attacks should not further divide all of us who wish to live in a peaceful and civilized world.

Instead, all these incidents should further unite everyone in combating all forms of terror around the globe.
