I can't help but agree with Sri Arjuna Dewata's letter Who will save Pak Lah from Rafidah?.

If it was true that Dr Mahathir Mohamad did not know anything about the AP situation during his tenure as the prime minister, there are only two possibilities.

The first would be, Mahathir knew something was happening but closed one eye (which I doubt very much since Proton is his pet project) about the matter. The second would be that International Trade and Industry Minister Rafidah Aziz outwitted him by keeping him out of the loop.

If the second guess is correct, then Rafidah must be really smart to even outwit a person of Mahathir's calibre. Could this be the other reason why Mahathir is feeling sore that he has been outsmarted on this instance?

If this is the case, then what chances would a nice gentleman like Pak Lah have against the likes of Rafidah? The ball is now at Pak Lah's feet.

If he continues as it is, the public and the cabinet cannot help but get the impression he is condoning the activities of Rafidah, This will be bad for the nation's morale.

Or will he nip the problem in the bud?
