There is a standing joke in our company. Whenever anyone goes to fix their Proton cars which is so often, we say: "At least you know you've got a genuine Proton car."

A colleague who bought a Wira hatchback five months ago has already gone to the workshop four times to fix the central locking system. Another colleague who bought a Gen2 six months ago have had to take the car four times to the workshop to fix a jammed gear. Can you imagine the frustration and inconvenience?

The quality of Proton is so bad that the owners have done crying over it. We just laugh at ourselves. We've been duped into buying an inferior car and have allowed our hard-earned money to be poured into a company that knows nothing about quality or excellence. Half-baked. Like many of the Malaysian GLCs

Yes, the people have lost their confidence in Proton. We lost it 10 years ago when the electric windows stopped working, when the central locking system went crazy, when the engine stalled for no reason and when the rubber pads fell off the pedals after a year. Are we an ungrateful lot? No, I think we are gullible fools.

Like MAS, Perwaja, Plus, Proton is another loss. Are we in Malaysia incapable of running businesses? So much abuse, excuse and refuse (as in rubbish).
