An open message to all professionals - Why continue to live and work in Malaysia if:

1) there is no equality of opportunity?

2) there is no equal access to institutions of higher learning?

3) where hard work and merit are secondary factors in advancing one's career?

4) where the rights of one community are deemed sacrosanct?

5) where one community is by fiat "more equal than others"?

Up stakes, pull out and go where the grass is greener. You might as well be a minority in a country where hard work and merit are recognised and rewarded. Without skills and foreign investment, Vision 2020 will be a non-starter. It's a pity that the more chauvinistic amongst us have not recognised this simple premise of globalisation.
