If Agnes Hor, ( Reading Malaysiakini violates my human rights ), finds that Malaysiakini news is so distressing and negative, then the oh-so-obvious and logical thing to do is not to read Malaysiakini .

If she wants good news or news with a positive spin on everything about the country, then I would like to recommend the mainstream media where a crowd of 40,000 protestors become only 4,000 people and where everyone that writes letters to the press have nothing but praise for the Malaysian government.

The mainstream media makes sure the Malaysians hide their heads in the sand like the proverbial ostrich. However, I find after suffocating in the media hype, I do need to come up for some oxygen every now and again. At least, Agnes can see her letter critical of Malaysiakini published.

I suggest that she try writing to our daily newspapers with something (anything) critical of the newspaper and see if they would publish her letter. I would recommend that Malaysiakini give her back her subscription so that she can go back to reading all the good and positive news about the country in the mainstream media.
