With due respect to the writer of 'Life is in the future, not in the past', (Sept 8) the future more often than not, is moulded by history.

From afar, one can call anyone a racist for telling the truth. The phrase 'the pot calling the kettle black' is appropriate and there is no need to know its origin. Racism in Malaysia is practised proudly and in the open; it has many names - 'positive discrimination', 'restructuring society', 'affirmative policy', 'new economic policy'...

To voice out one's frustrations in desperation does not deserve one being 'crowned' a racist.
