I refer to the Malaysiakini report MIC Youth protests against Sri Lanka offensive .

This was my first impression when I read this report that Barisan Nasional youths were involved in a campaign to hand over a memorandum at the Sri Lanka High Commission..

Is BN now supporting terrorism? But this was the stand that they were against all along. They equated Hindraf as having links with the LTTE and therefore of being a terrorist group. But now they are gathering in front of the high commision of Sri Lanka to support LTTE's cause ?

Seems strange.

How could such an embarrasing incident been allowed by Home Minister Syed Hamid Albar? He has clearly announced that LTTE is the terrorist group that Hindraf has links to and this statement was supported by the IGP, Musa Hassan.

Hindraf was even banned due to think unproven ‘link’. Then why suddenly go back on your statement and allow BN youths to campaign for LTTE?

It is mind-boggling. The elements were all there. The group was headed by MIC Indians. They were wearing orange clothes.

It was an illegal gathering as the coordinator could not produce a police permit. They were carrying slogans in support of the LTTE.

So what went wrong BN? Or was it a Hindraf event in a disguise?

It was definitely foolish of the IGP, the home minister and the BN government not take any action againts this group. The MIC is taking BN for a ride and BN does not even realise this. Further shame for BN and its components who took part.

This was nothing more than a public-relations stunt for the MIC to gain back sympathy and try to win back Indian support.

We are sure the MIC can do better than pull cheap stunts like this. The Ceylonese community in Malaysia have long been struggling for this cause and we never saw MIC lend a helping hand.

The poor Tamils in Sri Lanka definitely do need the humanitarian aid and support from world over for their cause but they certainly do not need the hypocrisy of MIC which is trying to appear as a ‘hero’ by promoting this cause.

The MIC needs to look at the sidelined Indians in Malaysia first. That means all Indians including the South Indians, the North Indians, the Punjabis, the Ceylonese and many others. For over 50 years , the MIC has taken the community for granted and the Indians are in their present state due to all the MIC’s thuggery and corruption.

It took just five lawyers to take up the Indian cause against the government and boldly represent the Indian community but the MIC with its band of ministers and hundreds of branches and thousands of members could not even muster the courage to speak up for the community it represents.

But now it is eager to stand up for another community in another country!

The MIC should be disbanded as its leadership doesn’t care about pulse of the people on the ground. Seriously, the entire community awaits for the MIC to learn, but it seems they will never learn.

BN take note, MIC is going down and it is bringing you down with it.
