The electorate in Hulu Selangor is reminded against being influenced by the opposition against the BN candidate from the MIC because he has the full backing of Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.

  Aid always provided

Meanwhile, Rural and Regional Development Minister Mohd Shafie Apdal said the BN government had always provided aid to the settlers and smallholders not only in Hulu Selangor but also all over the country without waiting for the by-election.

"The BN government never stops helping the people, every day, month and year aid will continue to be given to ensure that the welfare of the people are always looked after," he told reporters after handing over aid and replanting necessities at Kampung Jawa Kerling.

He also announced that the Risda Hulu Selangor Station had now been upgraded to become the Hulu Selangor Risda District Office to provide a more comprehensive service to cover all the rural areas.

He said Hulu Selangor had the biggest rubber area in the state of Selangor with a total of 8,277 hectares or 55 percent of the total area under rubber in the state.
