Fauzi Muda, who resigned as PKR Ipoh Barat division chief today, said that he will use his newly-formed NGO, ‘Pertubuhan Kebajikan dan Tindakan Suara Rakyat Perak', to expose the alleged wrongdoings in the state branch of the party.

He claimed that more than 500 party members of his division wing will soon resign from the party.

He also claimed that the Ipoh Barat branch would be dissolved as more than two-thirds of the committee members would also be quitting the party.

The party division chief had even complained to party adviser Anwar Ibrahim about the state leadership crisis in Perak but he claimed that his voice was not heard.

Another grouse was that he was allegedly blamed for the walkout of PKR Bagan Serai MP Mohsin Fadzli Samsuri from the party to become an independent MP.

Fauzi claimed that Mohsin also faced similar party politicking like him before he quit.

Final straw

The final straw that broke the camel's back came when Fauzi received a party letter dated May 4, barring him from the national party's AGM to be held in Kelantan on May 29 and 30.

Fauzi claims that there is lot of politicking in the state party and a faction in the state party wants to control the political movement of the rest of the party members.

Fauzi had joined the state party when it was formed in 1999 and in 2008 had taken to the media a case of money politics alleging that political agents of the then deputy Premier Najib Abdul Razak were enticing him to cross over to BN.

He even lodged a police report and had stated that he was even prepared to meet Najib in court to prove his allegations.

When asked if he was again offered money to resign from the state PKR party, Fauzi said "no", and denied that he is going to cross over to Umno or other BN component parties.

"I am going to champion the rights of Perakians as an independent politician without any party breathing down my back," he retorted.
