State party youth information chief Mohd Akmal Kamaruddin accused Harussani of being quick to issue media statements to criticise Pakatan leaders for any alleged shortcomings in religious matters, but the mufti is not taking the same quick action when Umno leaders are involved in such matters.

said that the mufti was quick to criticise DAP leaders Nga Kor Ming and Lim Guan Eng in the media on religious allegations but seemed to be taking a cautious stand when complaints on Premier Najib Abdul Razak’s wife Rosmah Mansor and Perak Menteri Besar Zambry Abd Kadir were lodged with the mufti today.
The Youth wing members had earlier today handed over a two -page memorandum on the two signed by Perak Youth chief Zawawi Hassan, to Harussani urging him to act on their complaints.
PAS is expressing its displeasure over Rosmah’s insensitivity, for being patron of an Islamic fashion show in Monte Carlo which is allegedly degrading to Islam and Prophet Muhammad.
During the show, Rosmah had said Islamic fashion is fast becoming a lucrative business with the current market estimated to be worth more than US$96 billion (RM302 billion) a year.
She had pointed out that this enormous market had yet to be fully tapped.
PAS claimed during the festival there was a model wearing a T-shirt with the Arabic word Muhammad emblazoned it across with the words inappropriately squeezed within a circle while the model did not cover her aurat.
On Oct 17, during a programme called ‘Projek Infra Bina Upaya (IBU)’ in Kampung Guar, Manong, Zambry was alleged to have performed certain rituals which were deemed to be contradictory to the teachings of Islam.
