Redelineation plans passed despite opposition walkout
The Dewan Rakyat today passed the motion to accept new electoral boundaries despite a walkout by opposition parliamentarians in protest of the alleged failure of Barisan Nasional leaders to respond to their objections.
The motion was passed with 144 votes out of a total of 194, at about 5.30pm - just moments after the opposition walkout.
