Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak (PBDS) vice-president Sng Chee Hua explained tonight that he turned up at the party's supreme council meeting this morning "to protest" against new president Daniel Tajem's move in appointing those whom he claimed were "strangers" to the party's supreme council (SC).

"I was present because I am an elected vice-president of the party and a SC member. I was also present to protest Tajem's high-handed move in simply appointing Dick, Tom and Harry to the supreme council - which is the highest decision-making body of the party," he told malaysiakini in a telephone interview.

"Please don't turn the supreme council into a "joke". We are now the laughing stock in the Barisan Nasional," he said.

On whom he was referring to as "strangers", Sng said he enquired at the meeting this morning who Ruis Jugah and Kisun Munang were as examples of the newly appointed SC members whom he had never met before.
