Pak Lah told to clarify brothers MAS deal
The deputy premier was asked by opposition politicians today to substantiate his anti-corruption
speech
yesterday by clearing the air on his brother's involvement in the privatisation of a MAS subsidiary.
"I hope the Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi can give full explanation on the involvement of (his brother) Ibrahim Ahmad Badawi in the privatisation of MAS Catering,"said Kubang Kerian member of parliament Husam Musa (

).
According to Husam, it has been revealed that main terms of the privatisation deal of national carrier's catering arm included a revenue guarantee of 80 per cent for 108 months, or nine years, if the purchase by a consortium goes ahead as planned.
