A new video has appeared on pro-Umno blogs, purportedly depicting PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim in a hotel room in Thailand getting ready for a tryst.
According to the
Papa Gomo
blog, the hotel is in the notorious Patpong red light district in Bangkok where the video was recorded on Jan 13, between 1:54am to 8:30am.
The black-and-white video, edited to almost 2 minutes and 25 seconds, depicts a bathrobe-clad man walking around his hotel room while fiddling with mobile phone.
Only one person is seen throughout the clip. The camera appears to be a night vision camera placed on a dressing table.
Based on information available on popular video sharing website YouTube , the clip was first uploaded sometime yesterday night by a user with the handle ‘123patpong’.
In his post, Papa Gomo insist that the recording was “100 percent authentic and confirmed”.
Does not justify claims
The author claims that the video was proof that Anwar had engaged in a tryst, but did not explain how since the person's face cannot be distinguishable nor was there any sex act.
However, he claims that more clips would be uploaded soon.
Papa Gomo also claims that Anwar was in Bangkok between Jan 12 and 13, returning to Malaysia at around 2.15pm before attending the Pakatan Rakyat meeting at 5.30pm in Kuala Lumpur.
The blogger said he was attempting to show Anwar’s antics in order to “save” Malaysians from being mislead by the opposition leader.
“Anwar Ibrahim dreams of becoming a prime minister... ask yourselves if you want a leader with such morals and behaviour... ?” he asked.
Earlier this year, three high-profile individuals produced a video purportedly depicting Anwar of having sex with a prostitute in February.
The three - former Malacca chief minister Abdul Rahim Tamby Chik, businessman Shazryl Eskay Abdullah and Perkasa treasurer Shuib Lazim - later pleaded guilty of distributing obscene materials and fined.
