PKR has shifted its weekend retreat from Lumut in Perak to Kuantan in Pahang in order to allow party leaders to attend the Himpunan Hijau 2.0 rally on Sunday.

pkr congress pc 271110 saifuddin nasution Secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution said most of the 130 delegates who would be at the retreat are expected to join the rally as well.

"We are clearing the retreat schedule for Sunday morning to ensure that the delegates can join the rally," Saifuddin said when contacted.

He said top party leaders including PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim will attend the rally.

Delegates at the special strategy retreat will include central committee members, elected representatives and selected division chiefs.

Meanwhile, Pahang PAS has pledged that 10,000 members in the state will join the rally while PAS in Terengganu said its members and supporters in Kemaman and Dungun will also join the rally.

Himpunan Hijau 2.0 is expected to be the biggest ever rally against the Lynas Advanced Materials Plant (Lamp).

It is scheduled to begin at 9.30am at the Kuantan Municipal Council field.
