Singapore forces to conduct live firing exercises
The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) will conduct live firing exercises at the Pasir Laba (Safti) Live Firing Area from 8am on Monday (May 14) to 8am on May 20.

The public are advised not to be alarmed and keep clear of the areas as live ammunition and flares will be used during the exercises.
During the period, sea vessels and crafts sailing through the Western Johor Straits are to keep within the 75m Navigable Sea Lane and not stray into the Live Firing Boundary, the SAF advised in a statement in Singapore today.
As the islands off Pulau Sudong, Pulau Senang and Pulau Pawai were proclaimed manoeuvring and firing grounds, the public should keep clear of these islands.
They are also advised to stay clear of the prohibited waters off the Changi and Tuas naval bases.
Meanwhile, the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) will conduct live firing exercises around Pulau Sudong, Pulau Pawai and Pulau Senang from May 14 to 18 (7am-11pm), May 19 to 20 (8am-4am) and May 20 (8am to noon).
Flares will be released during the night firing exercies and therefore, the public are advised to keep clear of Pulau Pawai, Pulau Senang and Pulau Sudong which lie within the live firing areas.
SAF will also conduct military exercises in Seletar, Marsiling, Jalan Bahar, Neo Tiew, Lim Chu Kang, Jalan Kwok Min, Tuas, Upper Jurong, Hong Kah, Ama Keng, Bedok Jetty, Kranji, Lentor, Simpang, Sembawang, Mandai from 8am on Monday to 8am on May 20.
Blanks and thunderflashes will be used and the public are advised not to be alarmed and to keep clear of these areas.
