DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng said he needs not comment on the issue of recently-resigned comrade Tunku Abdul Aziz Ibrahim as the public can see for themselves.

"If you want to ask me what my comment is, my comment is ‘no comment’.

"So don't ask me afterwards, save time. You can read it yourself," he said lightheartedly.

Umno-linked Malay daily Utusan's headlines today screamed 'Tunku Aziz's Call'.

On the front page summary, Tunku Aziz said Najib's leadership "ought to be supported, and should be given a chance and time to make a success of the transformation programmes that he has initiated".

The former DAP vice-chairman who quit the party on Monday made the impassioned call for support of Najib yesterday in an interview with Bernama .

Tunku Aziz ( left ) had earlier broken ranks with the party on the eve of the mammoth Bersih 3.0 rally when he said that rallying on the streets would lead to potential riots.

His senatorship, which expired last week, was not subsequently renewed.

The former Bank Negara adviser and DAP’s first Malay senator eventually quit the party , allegedly over disagreement with the opposition party.
