More and sterner warnings from the police forced the organiser of the "Black 14" gathering this Saturday to issue special guidelines for those who will assemble at the National Mosque.

In their official website, [#1] Black 14[/#] , the organisers issued "special instructions" to their supporters so they will not bring any weapons and not to fight back against the police even if they are beaten.

"Don't bring any form of weapons, sticks, fire-crackers, molotov cocktail, and other dangerous weapons. Don't hit or challenge the police if they beat us," according to the website's advice.

This special instruction is believed to be inserted into the website on Monday after Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad's statement that stern measures need to be taken against the rally organisers and participants who were accused of "making molotov cocktails, weapons and sticks" to start a "riot".

However, KeADILan party vice president Tian Chua urged the police to act calmly and professionally.

"I have already warned the relevant authority not to use violence to suppress the legitimate rights of the people," Chua told malaysiakini today. "The people have been patient."

Yesterday, police warned that detention under the Internal Security Act could be used as a last resort if the situation got out hand.

Last Sunday, the police was reported to say that the rally organisers may also be detained under the Sedition Act.

"We might conduct a few arrests if the rally goes on as planned," said the police chief of Kuala Lumpur, Kamaruddin Md Ali, as reported in Utusan Malaysia today.

In the website "Black 14", the organisers instructed non-Muslims supporters to wait in Dayabumi and not to enter the vicinity of the National Mosque.

According to the website, several non-Muslim leaders from KeADILan will wait there around 3pm and the supporters should act in accordance with their instructions.
