Baling parliamentarian and 1Malaysia Putera Club (KP1M) president Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim was injured on the head when a metal bar used to prop up a tent fell in strong winds in Tacloban, Philippines today.

The incident took place at the KP1M volunteers' area of operation at the Daniel Z Romualdez Airport at 1.45pm when he was having a discussion with the volunteers.

He was rushed to the field clinic maintained by the Malaysian Armed Forces Medical Corps here where he received four stitches and a tetanus injection.

Nevertheless, his condition was reported as stable.

Earlier, he had visited the nearby areas and distributed aid to victims of super typhoon Haiyan which had almost flattened Tacloban City.
