PAS central working committee member Nasrudin Hassan has yet to receive a legal notice from Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng over his statement on the construction of the underwater tunnel in Penang, which he had claimed was given directly to a company.

He said he was ready if Lim intended to take legal action.

"I have explained my statement, I am not going to apologise to him because I do not consider the statement defamatory," he said.

Nasrudin was speaking to the media after the PAS-organised Merdeka celebrations at Padang Temerloh Jaya here today.

Also present was PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu.
