Newly-minted Selangor Menteri Besar Azmin Ali has vowed to revisit several controversial issues in the state, such as the water deal and the Bible seizure.
Speaking to reporters, Azmin said as far as the water deal is concerned, he would not re-look the entire deal but certain aspects of it, "as he has no malice against any personality in Selangor" .
However, to avoid future speculation, he suggested that the water contract be opened to public scrutiny.
"I am not privy to the details at this moment. To be fair, I need to meet the relevant authorities and agencies to gather more information. To avoid future speculation, all the agreements must be made public," Azmin said.
Also on the new menteri besar's "to review list" are the controversial Kinrara-Damansara Expressway (Kidex) and the issue of the Bible seizure.
"Every single thing that has been approved or adopted, let me discuss with the officers," he said.
Azmin emphasised that he would continue the clean administration of his predecessor, but would adopt new initiatives.
He brushed off the allegation that he has benefitted from palace’s interference and dismissed the need for a motion of confidence to be tabled.
"My point is that my nomination and appointment were fully endorsed by Pakatan Rakyat," he said.
Quizzed on PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang's advice that he should not abuse his power or state funds, Azmin replied: "I take the advice in good faith."
