PM under pressure to make budget cuts
Malaysia will unveil a 2015 budget next Friday that investors hope will reduce a fuel subsidy bill that is exacerbating the country’s worryingly high debt levels.
Whereas Malaysia’s economic growth, which clocked 6.3 percent in the first half, looks impressive, Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak has to address concerns over the debt burden and an over-reliance on commodity and energy exports.
