Microsoft launches affordable smartphone
KINIBIZ Microsoft Devices Group announced the launch of the Nokia 215 today, calling it the most affordable Internet-ready phone.
The Nokia 215 is purportedly designed to connect and introduce first-time mobile phone buyers to the Internet and new digital experiences, and is also available in Dual SIM.
Priced at RM139 and available in three colours - bright green, black, and white - the Nokia 215 comes with the Opera Mini browser, Bing search, MSN Weather app, Twitter, and Facebook preinstalled. The phone also boasts SLAM, which enables content to be shared between devices and callers making hands-free calls, using Bluetooth 3.0 and Bluetooth audio support for headsets.
However, it has also been confirmed that the phone will not be able to run popular messaging app Whatsapp, which in turn may be a dealbreaker for those considering this model.
