Stop wagging the dog on PM’s bank account

YOURSAY ‘Where is the RM2.6b? Was it used to finance GE13 campaign?’

Video, email claim S'wak Report forged docs

Aries46: Sarawak Report editor Claire Rewcastle-Brown purportedly wrote in an email: “Thanks! Yes it was quite a job!.. Sitting up night after night cleverly forging all those documents!!!!”

It seems like BN strategic communications director Abdul Rahman Dahlan’s wildest dream has come true. But sadly for him even if the e-mail is really from Rewcastle, rather than a confession it sounds more like her sarcasm at its best.

And to top the cake, it would be interesting if Abdul Rahman can parade our very own MI5 operatives, RRK Naidu and his sidekick Lester Melanyi, for a standing ovation.

This duo seems to have unearthed what the entire coterie of PM Najib Razak’s hangers-on has failed.

Najib’s 1MDB saga, which is getting murkier without a resolution in sight, certainly has its fair share of comic to sooth the frayed nerves of the rakyat hit with declining ringgit, the ravages of his GST (Goods and Services Tax), unabated corruption, the opulent lifestyle of the ruling elites, the 1MDB debacle and the resultant economic downturn that force the average Malaysian to struggle harder to put food on the table.

Vijay47: Rewcastle is a woman who has devoted her time and effort to revealing the truth about the goings-on in Sarawak and how an entire community was cheated by a family of utter rogues.

She would be painfully aware that her most important asset is credibility, that she cannot afford the luxury of publishing even once any fact later found to be false.

From her track record so far, I would assume she is at least of reasonable intelligence. So what does the editor of Sarawak Report do?

She sends out a convenient email crowing about how she "cleverly forged all those documents". My only surprise is that Abdul Rahman did not also include a photo from her with the caption, "This is the computer from which I had cleverly forged all those documents".

Once thing is clear, once you join Umno, you will never stop being an imbecile.

Anticonmen: The words "cleverly forging" gave the game away. No person will praise himself or herself that she was "cleverly forging" away.

It sounds like the words of a person who wants to frame another or trying to put words in another person's mouth.

Abdul Rahman is part of a party which has a history of ‘framing’ others in order to fool the kampung folk.

Wg321: Abdul Rahman claimed that Sarawak Report falsified documents pertaining to 1MDB and colluded with the opposition. But whatever documents that are allegedly falsified, the following facts of the case were not challenged or denied by Najib.

They are:

1) On July 2, 2015, The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported that US$681 million originating from Tanore Finance in British Virgin Islands was deposited in Najib’s accounts in AmBank in two transactions - March 21 and March 25, 2013;

2) The accounts where US$681 million was deposited was closed on Aug 30, 2013;

3) The other account was closed on March 9, 2015 where RM42 million from SRC International Sdn Bhd was deposited;

4) The WSJ did not accuse Najib of using the money for his personal interests. The WSJ just said that this money (total US$700 million or RM2.6 billion) was deposited into Najib’s accounts.

Najib did not deny that this money was deposited into his accounts. Where is the missing RM2.6 billion? Was it used to finance the 13th GE campaign in May 2013?

Anonymous 122461436161429: Why this desperation to prove to the world that documents are wrong or forged when Najib, AmBank and Bank Negara can easily confirm the billions in his account and the billions that disappeared from 1MDB?

Nothing has changed and these Umno politicians still think their spins will continue to work.

Negarawan: Does Abdul Rahman think that the international financial community can be fooled by such ludicrous and unsubstantiated claims?

Umno's credibility in the international markets is extremely bad because of corrupt practices of its agencies worldwide. Our ringgit has plunged drastically and the whole economy is getting worse owing to the drastic rise in the cost of living and doing business.

Despite the rakyat's suffering, Umno leaders are still indulging in massive corruption and opulent lifestyles. How long more can the rakyat take this? Our future generations have no hope with Umno still around.

Gaji Buta: Why can't someone just answer the simple question - was US$700 million banked into Najib's bank account and stop all this nonsense which is wasting everyone's energy?

Irresponsible people are running the show. No wonder some people cannot do well in examinations as they are unable to give answers. Is there a term for this kind of condition? If not, maybe can use 'umnesia'?

Bamboo: 'Wag the dog' is real and the psy war is on. But I believe Sarawak Report which is so far credible with its revelations.

Drngsc: It gets so confusing now. Everyone is accusing the other of forging documents.

One thing for sure is that this government has no credibility. They cheat, they lie, they steal. It looks like that is their culture.

Forget the 'forging' issue, where's the RM2.6b?
